New Season Ahead

The MPA Opry Barn is open for the season now!

We had our first bluegrass show of the season on Saturday, March 16th, featuring local favorites My Brother's Keeper and had the place packed.

Next up will be the first Acoustic Final Friday of the year on March 29th, with the 6th Annual Metamora Mandolin Gathering taking place the next day.

March 30, Metamora Mandolin Gathering, 9 AM to 9 PM

This year's event features guest instructor Don Julin from Michigan. Don is a highly regarded player and instructor who wrote the book "Mandolin for Dummies" and offers online lessons from his website: Mandolinshealtheworld.com Some of you may have seen him touring with fellow Michigander Billy Strings a couple of years ago.

During the day there are two jam sessions that are open to the general public.

The evening show is going to be outstanding, with two full bands plus a set from Don Julin. $8 at the door. Food will be available for purchase on site beginning at 5 PM.
