Has it been just a year?

In May 2014 we signed the lease for the building we now call the Opry Barn. It's been a lot of work pulling everything together, but it's been fun as well.

We have hosted music performances, staged a melodrama, had community potlucks, and established a monthly Bluegrass Night. If you go over to the Facebook page for Metamora Performing Arts you can see lots of photos from our activities.

One ongoing activity that has moved to the Opry Barn is our Acoustic Final Friday. Held the last Friday of the month it gives an opportunity for anyone in the community to get up and show their talents. In good weather it is held at the Back Porch of Lane's End where we have our Music Festival on Labor Day weekend, but most months it's in the Opry Barn.

In the months ahead we're going to offer some other music evenings, and we're interested to see how non Bluegrass events do.Keep checking our schedule on the webpage, and go on over to Facebook and like the page for Metamora Performing Arts.
